2)  Annie Barrows, author of Ivy and Bean, will be talking and signing at Hicklebee's in San Jose (Willow Glen). Saturday, October 13 @ 2:00
Annie Barrows is as hilarious and mischievous as her best-selling series, Ivy and Bean. In-demand at bookstores, conferences and festivals, she has charmed audiences large and small with endless stories about the kooky things kids do, her writing process, and her unconventional ideas about encouraging kids to read. In addition to writing the New York Times Bestselling Ivy and Bean series, she is the author if the international bestseller, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, currently in development as a feature film. She lives in Northern California with her husband and two daughters. "

3)  Friends of the Campbell Library Book Sale. Saturday, October 13 from 10 am - 1 pm. One of the better library book sales around, I strongly recommend this one if you're looking to pick up some cheap paperbacks for the kids. It also helps out a wonderful non-profit.

B.  Reminders

Our field trip on Monday will be at the southern tip of the San Francisco Bay, so that means it may be cool and breezy.  Please make sure students bring a warm sweatshirt or light jacket, in addition to their cold lunches.

Parents who are leading a class: I will be assisting you all but at different times (I'll be walking around between classes). The script has been given to your child. Thank you for being trained and volunteering! This field trip is very worthwhile to them! And it means a lot to me that you've volunteered! :)
