Weekend Activities - 10/20-21

First, NO MATH homework since we did not have math today. (It was an already impacted schedule and the photography crew was running behind schedule which especially infringed upon the fourth grade math time.)  But, my math class will be having a make-up quiz on Monday covering Topics 1-4. Now that's out of the way...

    • It's chestnut season! Skyline Chestnuts opens their chestnut picking season this weekend. Saturday and Sunday: 9 am to dusk. Call ahead for more info or visit their website: http://skylinechestnuts.com/ . The drive is rather bumpy as you will be traveling through the mountains. Careful! Chestnuts are actually inside a prickly shell! Please read some helpful Yelp reviews about this place before visiting: http://www.yelp.com/biz/skyline-chestnut-orchard-la-honda
LASTLY, two things:

1) This is just a reminder that on Tuesday, 10/23 around 9:25 a.m., our class will be hosting a special visitor.  This special visitor has a distinct nose and some pearly whites. The "fin"al clue is he sometimes drives the Zamboni at the HP Pavilion! :)  In order to accommodate this special visitor (since HE tells us when he's coming), your child may not be able to participate with the PE/Music activities that day.  However, I think it'll make a great memory for all the students who will be present!

2) District Assessments (Language Arts/Writing and Math) will be administered in class next week.

Have a great weekend!

- Mr. Amutan
