Tomorrow is the First Day of Common Core Practice Tests

We will first meet in the classroom before the second bell in the morning, then I will debrief them on the process. Next, we will walk to the Computer Lab to take the test. It will be a test environment with little to no pressure. The exposure and experience will be valuable to the students.

Error on Science Page 287

The question at the bottom of page 287 is stated incorrectly.

It should read: "How are a fuse and a circuit BREAKER alike?"

Explore the Grand Canyon! Really!

Have you ever seen a Google car zoom around with its cameras recording the people, streets and buildings it's driving by?

Well, Google decided to give the Colorado River and the Grand Canyon a Google Maps treatment. Here's the article about it.

Now, here's the fun part: Explore the Grand Canyon from the Colorado River via Google Maps/Earth!

[LINK]  This is probably what Professor Powell, Jack and George might have seen on their surveys.

[LINK]  Look how vast the canyons are!

[LINK]  When you're at the top of the canyons, the vistas are beautiful!

[LINK]  You can take numerous hiking trails along the canyons.

[LINK]  Check out this cool, secluded canyon off of the Colorado River.

Finally, here is a photo of the Grand Canyon from outer space.
