Invasive Species in California

Agriculture is a very important part of California's economy, so we are learning about certain types of invasive species plaguing California's plants and animals. Preventing invasive species from taking hold in the Golden State is a multi-billion dollar industry, but it doesn't always take money to stop the problem: educating others is a cheap but equally effective way of keeping invasive species at bay.

Here are some pictures of the invasive species we are studying about as well as links to more information about the species.
