Weekend Tidbits

  • Ice Cream Social TODAY from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m.
  • Topic 2 Math Tests were completed today. Students did an outstanding job with a 91% average! This test was different from Topic 1 because it had six fields that needed to be filled in and/or explained with sentences. I'm working on how to print copies of the test for review at home. The program issues review videos and assignments when a student misses problems on their test. Students must complete it online and submit to me that they reviewed the skill.

Weekend Tidbits

A few things as we begin the weekend:
  • Autumn Moon Festival (9/10-11) in San Francisco: http://moonfestival.org/phone/index.html
  • We finished Topic 1 Test online via Pearson's website. The class did a great job on the 20-question test and averaged 94%. Each student knows how he/she fared because the online program notified them of their score, so ask your child.
  • Next week, Science Lab starts (Friday).
  • Also starting next week, students who would like to be a lunch helper can do so. They have a form to take home to be signed and returned on Monday.
  • Upcoming this week:
    • Open Magazine Time for Kids Quiz #1 on Monday.
    • Open Book Chapter 1 Science Test on Wednesday.
  • Donation letter wasn't distributed today. It's going in the Wednesday Folder.
  • Add another date: the Fourth Grade will have a grade level meeting day on 9/19. We will be on campus but there will be subs.
  • Lastly, if you haven't turned in your Emergency Kit please do so as soon as possible. I only have kits from 11 (of 29) students.
Have a good weekend!
