It's the Last Weekend in January Already?

  • Wordly Wise Lesson 1-10 Quizzes on Monday. Each of the two quizzes involve reading a one page passage then answering twelve questions, which contain vocabulary words from Lessons 1-10. They will be closed book.
    • Some students did not complete the Review Packet for today. They have Monday morning to turn it in completed, or they will have to stay in to complete it.
  • We started Tuck Everlasting the movie in class today. We will finish it, in about 30 minute segments, by the end of Tuesday.
  • Thanks to those students and families who have donated to the Pennies for Patients drive. So far, we have collected $136.75 as a class and earned the Bronze Pennant! Keep the change coming! This coming Friday is the last day of the drive!
  • It's going to be beautiful weather-wise this weekend. Try and get out and go for a walk, run, or any other outdoor activity. However, if you're ill, stay in and recuperate. There seems to be a bit of the stomach flu going around so take care of yourself (and everyone at home)!
  • The 2019 NHL All-Star festivities start tonight with the Skills Challenge and tomorrow is the actual All-Star game. The Fan Fair started yesterday and runs through Sunday. If you can, check out the NHL Fan Fair ($20 Day of Tickets; $17 advance Adult ticket; $15 Youth ages 2-12/Senior/College student/Military ticket). There will be a lot of exhibitions, activities, and former player appearances and autograph events. You can even take a picture of the Stanley Cup!
Have a great weekend!
