Stephen Hawking PBS Program

It all started with a Wordly Wise question about Stephen Hawking.
Some students had recognized him while just a few knew who he was.

We watched a couple of minutes of PBS's program on Stephen Hawking. It is a good program since Hawking and his life - personal and professional - are explored. Hawking himself narrates most of the biopic.

The most amazing thing is how a brain like his must feel trapped by a body afflicted with a disastrous disorder.

In a similar vein, a movie about Hawking's younger years, The Theory of Everything, is still in the movie theaters. It focuses on his relationship with his future wife while studying at Oxford then how his physical struggles affect his life. Read more here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2980516/
There were 5 Oscar nominations for this movie. Eddie Redmayne, the actor who portrays Hawking, won the Oscar for Best Actor.

Enjoy the viewing!
