HW - Tuesday, 3/24


PARENTS:

  • Tomorrow is our field trip to Children's Discovery Museum with our Little Buddies. Students needs to bring a disposable bag lunch, wear their class t-shirts and comfortable walking shoes, and they will leave their backpacks in the classroom.
  • This week, we will continue with our California Agriculture Taste Tests: avocados! And if I can get my hands on them ... locally sourced cherimoya.
  • Almost finished with our classroom novel: Tuck EverlastingPlease do not let them read or flip pages ahead.
  • Each month we will continue to practice for the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC) Common Core Test.
  • SIX TenMarks.com lessons have been assigned to support our current area of study and review some past concepts. All assignments will go off-line on Monday, March 25:
    • CURRENT 4.NF.4a - Fractions as Multiples
    • CURRENT 4.NF.4b - Multiplication of a Fraction by a Whole Number
    • CURRENT 4.NF.4c - Solve Word Problems: Multiply a Fraction & Whole Number
    • REVIEW 4.NF.5 - Fractions: Denominator of 10 or 100
    • REVIEW 4.NF.6 - Decimal Notation and Fractions
    • REVIEW 4.NF.7 - Comparing Decimals

    1.  RuskinFIT (Physical Exercise) - 60 minutes
    2.  Reading Is Cool - 30 minutes
    Reading Goal of the Month:  Most BOOKS Read
    Keep track of the books you read daily by writing them down on the Reading Log, get your parent or guardian to initial, total your pages read, and turn it in  April 3 ...Receive a Prize!
    Remember: Read your Accelerated Reader Book (selected with your ZPD in mind) and take the Quiz in class.

    6.  History - California Studies Weekly (Week #20) due Thursday. Quiz on Friday.
