2)  Here are some helpful links to assist in reviewing and final prepping for Tuesday's Writing Test.  They are NOT scored by me nor by the district, but by the state (or whomever they hire as readers).  The following links (PDFs) are from the California Department of Education and cover the three main writing genres in the fourth grade: narrative, summary, and response to literature.

In the event that your child is absent on Tuesday, your child will only have Wednesday to take it.  Also, in the event that your child needs more time, s/he will be escorted to a designated area (possibly in the office's meeting room) to complete the testing.

Please make sure they are rested, hydrated, and fully nourished for the test!

4)  The Berryessa Education Foundation raffle is about to begin.  From each $4 ticket purchased, $2 goes directly to the school's science lab.  Last year, Ruskin families won a lot of prizes (around 30!) including the big screen TV and tickets to Disneyland! Flyers will be placed in next Wednesday's folder.
