Parents:
  • From Principal Pender:
    • NO SHARING OF FOOD is allowed. There have been some issues during recesses.
    • Moreover, we do not want to risk any potential exposure to allergens.
  • Since we finished the class novel, Dear Mr. Henshaw, we are now doing the culminating activity of writing to their favorite author and reading the sequel, Strider.
  • Almost all of the students finished both district assessments in Math and ELA. More time will be available for those students who are not done with theirs.
  • Upcoming Dates
    • Friday - MINIMUM DAY (1:00 p.m. dismissal); Science Lab; P.E.
    • Next week...ALL MINIMUM DAYS (1:00 p.m. dismissal)
1.  Read for 30 min.
2.  Language Arts
  • Wordly Wise Lesson 10e (due Friday). Lesson 10 Test on Friday. Refer to the inside of the book's cover for the online access code to practice activities. You may need to create a free account to access the rest of the online lessons (#s 10-20). 
  • Scholastic News - pg. 8 due Friday; Close Reading questions also due Friday. Quiz on Friday
    • March Reading Logs are due Thursday, April 2
      • March Challenge = Most books (100+ pages) read
      3.  Math
      • Textbook pgs. 390-393; 394-395
      • Workbook pgs. none
      • Topic 14 Test will be on Monday, 3/9
      4.  History 
      • Textbook pgs. 143-146
      • California A-Z pages
      5.  Science
      • Science Fair projects are due March 31. Participation is mandatory.
        • Should be an Experiment, Model, Demonstration, and Invention; Collection shouldn't be selected as it's geared towards the lower grades.
