- Congratulations to ZIFEI for being the December Sharks Reading Is Cool Reader of the Month with 11,303 pages read! The students who read and turned in their completed Reading Logs did an awesome job and ended up reading 57,255 pages!
- S.I. Classes meet next week.
- Scholastic Book Orders are due Monday, 1/13.
- Next week we will start our next classroom novel, BY THE GREAT HORN SPOON!
- FIS time next week (TBD) will change due to accommodations for a 2nd Grade presentation.
- This is our month for helping out in the Cafeteria. Lunch Helpers need to mind the monthly schedule here (or from the tab above).

- Upcoming Dates
- Jan. 13 - Pennies for Patients fundraiser officially starts with a kick-off assembly. Students received their "boxes for change" today.
- Jan. 20 - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s Birthday (No School)

FUN STUFF:
- On January 18 and 19, Legoland Discovery Center at the Great Mall is hosting a building competition called BRICK FACTOR to see which expert builder will win the job as Master Builder for the new Legoland site!
"Brick Factor is an event where LEGO® experts will compete in 3 action packed building challenges to earn the COOLEST job ever. (Really! It's a real job!) Contestants are encouraged to interact with the audience so come show your support and join the excitement! This is a free event and fun for all ages.
Additional activities include meet & greets with Bertie, the LEGOLAND Discovery Center Mascot, giveaways and more. Guests have the chance to win First to Play Annual Passes as well as awesome LEGO sets!
The 13th LEGOLAND Discovery Center Master Model Builder in all of North America will be crowned on January 19, 2020! Think you’re the Builder for the Job?"
