HW - Tuesday, 10/25

Parents:
  • Book orders have shipped. They are scheduled to arrive tomorrow.
  • The rest of the roughly 64,000+ Lego elements ordered for their name tags arrived yesterday. We will build them tomorrow.
  • TOMORROW is an Earthquake/Fire Drill. Remember to DROP, COVER, and HOLD for an Earthquake, and evacuate swiftly and safely to the blacktop for the Fire drill.
  • Yearbook sales have started! Best time to buy them is now because they're only $20 AND you get to personalize your back cover. Prices go up scarily to $30 after 10/31.
  • Monday, 10/31 (All Hallows' Eve):
    • Halloween Parade will begin at 8:40 a.m. on the black top/basketball courts. There will only be one parade, and we are requesting that parents please WAIT AT THE LUNCH TABLES while the classes are moving to their spots. Violent costumes are not allowed.
    • We will have a brief treat exchange in the afternoon. It's not a party but just an exchange of goodies before we go home. Treats must be purchased at a store and cannot be homemade. You may also provide alternatives like pencils, little toys/trinkets, etc. If you would like to bring treats to share, please remember we have 29 students. Thank you!
  • We have started two Reading Log programs for October: Book It!, sponsored by Pizza Hut, and Reading is Cool, sponsored by the San Jose Sharks. Students who complete the monthly reading log get a coupon for a free personal pizza and entered for possible prizes from the Sharks.
  • Congratulations to Andrea, who had the winning design for our t-shirt! (We are the "Popularly Peaceful Pandas")
    • Here is the first mock-up of the t-shirt (which was received last week). The image is going to be revised:
