HW - Wednesday, 11/19

PARENTS:  
  • ALL WEEK, we have MINIMUM DAYS (1:00 p.m. dismissal) due to conferences.
  • Warm Coat Drive is underway!  Please bring in any coats you would like to donate to needy families.  Ruskin will be collecting and donating them.
  • Our Thanksgiving party is this Friday. Since we won the Red Ribbon Door Contest (thank you again, Ms. Ellie), the office will be paying for the pizza. Ms. Conlon has volunteered to pick up the pizzas for our class. (THANK YOU!)
    • Also, there is a sign-up sheet outside our door. If you are contributing to the Thanksgiving Party, please write your name on the sheet (or have your child do it).
  • CONGRATULATIONS to Fiona, our San Jose Sharks' Reading is Cool October Reader of the Month!
  • We're only missing SEVEN Emergency Kits. Please turn your child's in ASAP.
  • Today we did a California Agriculture lesson on beef and how it arrived in California. Because students asked to see more videos (we ran out of time), here are the videos of young chefs preparing California-raised beef: http://www.learnaboutag.org/bonalabeef

    Keep track of the books you read daily by writing them down on the Reading Log, get your parent or guardian to initial, total your pages read, and turn it in  December 1 ...Receive a Prize!
    Remember: Read your Accelerated Reader Book (selected with your ZPD in mind) and take the Quiz in class.
