Reading Goal of the Month:  Most Pages Read 
(You MUST complete a book within your reading range a.k.a. ZPD!)
Keep track of the books you read daily by writing them down on the Reading Log, get your parent or guardian to initial, total your pages read, and turn it in  April  2 ...Receive a Prize!
Remember: Read your Accelerated Reader Book (selected with your ZPD in mind) and take the Quiz in class.

NOTES:
  • LAST WEEK FOR RAFFLE TICKETS!!!  Berryessa Education Foundation Fundraiser is going on right now! Great prizes are being offered. $2 of each $4 raffle ticket goes to Ruskin to help our Science Lab!
  • We just finished From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler. We are taking the Chapter 9-10 AR quiz and Open Book Test as well as the whole book AR quiz. The students will be working on various activities this week and next. We will be watching the movie adaptation, The Hideaways (Rated "G"; originally released in 1973/re-released in 2000), starting on Wednesday in 30 minute increments.  For more information about the movie, please read the Amazon reviews.
  • Minimum Days ALL this week
  • Report Cards go home on Friday.
  • Science Fair Projects are mandatory and will be due on Tuesday, May 6. They will get the information after an assembly this week.  You can always download them from Ruskin's Science Lab page (Click Here).
  • Family Fun Night will be on May 2 from 4-8 p.m.
  • April 11 is the next PTA Movie Night...FROZEN!
