FREE COMIC BOOK DAY is THIS Saturday!

FREE comic books?!?
You don't say!

Yep!

Here is a list of comic book stores (near the 95132 zip code) who are planning on giving away special Free Comic Book Day comics:

(Call ahead to see if they're having any promotions AND the limit of free comic books per person)

Click here to see what free comics are offered on this day. Please note: not all comics will be carried at each store but expect a selection from the list.

One of the best comic book stores around the Bay Area is Lee's Comics in Mountain View ( on Rengstorff near Costco). Lee is a great supporter of the comic book industry and community, its artists, and usually has really great sales on this day.

Due to STAR (CST) testing, a few schedule changes

Parents,

Due to STAR (CST) Testing this week, here are a few changes to this week and next week's schedule:

Testing Dates -  Tuesdays and Wednesdays are designated test days for Part 1 and Part 2, respectively; if a child is absent, any other day will be used for make-up tests.

Testing Hours -  First morning session after the Pledge of Allegiance and Morning Announcements, so PLEASE ARRIVE TO SCHOOL EARLY. Since the test is untimed, any students who are not finished by the morning recess bell will be escorted to a designated room to complete their test.

Math - Mondays and Fridays before lunch; Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays after lunch.

PE and Music - Instead of before the morning recess, it will be after the morning recess. Quiet transition will be expected because the 5th grade classes will be testing when students return from PE and Music.

Homework - It will be lessened but the students will be given additional time in class to complete their work.

Please make sure your child reviews their test prep packets, gets plenty of rest (go to bed early!), and has a nutritious dinner and breakfast before coming to school each testing day.

Thank you for your cooperation!

Mr. Amutan

On MONDAY, you must tell Mr. Amutan what mission you have selected.  Please don't change your mind about the mission either as you may waste valuable time, energy, and resources.
